Dr. Joseph Katzinger’s
focus is in primary care natural medicine with a strong interest in
environmental medicine. Through post-graduate research he has expanded his
knowledge of conventional and natural approaches to health, and the
importance of individualized treatments and functional medicine.
He also has a strong commitment to catalyzing an individual’s
self-discovery and personal awareness, and considers this an essential
part of being both a physician and a teacher. Doctor Katzinger has a
deep-seated belief in human potential and the capacity for
self-actualization in every individual, and brings this to his practice.
Doctor
Joseph Katzinger graduated from Bastyr University in 2003 as a doctor of
Naturopathic Medicine. He has since worked for several years with
Salugenecists Inc., a company that creates tools for both physicians and
patients that are designed to target and reverse underlying causes of
illness and effectively promote wellness. Doctor Katzinger also has a
strong academic and research background in biological sciences, graduating
summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Michigan
State University. While at
Michigan State he also completed programs within the Lyman Briggs College
of Natural Science and the Honor’s College.

Seth
holds a Masters of Science degree in Acupuncture as well as
certification in Chinese Herbal Medicine through Bastyr
University. The progam at Bastyr University is taught by Doctors
of Oriental Medicine from China and Licensed Acupuncturists from the
United States.
Portions of his training was completed in Shuguang Hospital in
Shanghai, China. Additionally, he has been
trained in Japanese Acupuncture techniques, particularly the methods of
Doctor Yoshio Manaka.
Seth also has
extensive training in Tuina (Chinese Therapeutic Massage, see other
pages on this site for more information), Swedish, and Deep Tissue
massage through Bastyr and through Seattle's Brenneke School of
Massage. He has been licensed to
practice massage by the state of Washington since 2000.
Through his clinical and
didactic education, Seth has experience in treating a wide range of
disorders and diseases using minimally invasive, holistic techniques.
Seth's treatments are designed to treat the individual as a whole, not
just the symptom which presents itself.
